ABC Radio Australia: Y Space

I am a regular guest on
"Y Space"
It's a delightful segment on ye olde ABC Radio Australia Today and bares no reference to chromosomes. Each week a coupla young cats get together and chew the fat on youth issues in Australia for an international audience. We also do a live cross to a hip-to-it radio station in Malaysia to compare notes with Double D and Roundhead - super-duper DJs from down town K.L. - ZING!

This week: Alcohol. The Salvation Army released a report into alcohol consumption in Australia and the findings were alarming (if somewhat predictable).

1 in 3 Australian youngsters drink just to get drunk on a regular basis
7 per cent of Australians sometimes drink to feel 'normal'

Obviously I am lucky in having realised early that I won't ever be particularly normal, no matter how many bevvies I neck on a Saturday night.

Here's the chat that unfolded around this, and a few other issues. I may or may not have mentioned old mate Voltaire in relation to ratus-bagus Hicksville Pastor Terry Jones of Koran-burning fame. But I guess you'll just have to have a listen for confirmation...

You gots to click through to this one...
